报告人简介：

     Jiangyu Li is a Professor in Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he directs Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Nanobiomechanics. Prior joining SIAT, he was a Professor (at the rank of Assistant, Associate, and Full) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Washington, from 2006 to 2019. He held faculty appointment at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln from 2001 to 2005, and postdoctoral appointments at California Institute of Technology and University of California, San Diego from 1998 to 2001. Prof. Li obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Colorado, Boulder in 1998, and his B.E. in Materials Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University, 1994. His current research interests include scanning probe microscopy, functional materials and devices, and machine learning in materials sciences. He has published over 200 research articles, and was awarded Microscopy Today Innovation Award by Microscopy Society of America in 2017 and Sia Nemat-Nasser Medal from American Society of Mechanical Engineers in 2008. He is an Associate Editor for Journal of Applied Physics and Science Bulletin, and serves on the editorial boards of npj Computational Materials and Journal of Materiomics, among others.
