Abstract:
Two lectures describe recent developments of Evolutionary single and multi objective and optimization (SO & MO) techniques with their advantages and drawbacks compared to traditional deterministic optimisers. The importance of Game Strategies (GS), such as Pareto, Nash or Stackelberg games as speeders of Single and Multi objective Optimizers is introduced and discussed on simple mathematical functions, as well as their implementation on simple aeronautical model optimisation problems in the computer using a friendly design framework (Part 1).
In the second part of the lecture (Part2) , two real life design applications dealing with :
i)UAVs Mission Path Planning Systems ( MPPS);
ii) Wave drag reduction of natural laminar airfoil and shock control bump with games strategies.
Using EAs and Nash Game Strategies of Part 1 are presented and discussed providing the designer new trade off solutions useful to digital aircraft design in industrial environments. Many details useful to the reader can be found in [1].
