1996- Expert of the European Commission for HORIZON-2020 and Eurostars Projects Evaluation

2011-2013 National Representative in the Europeen Research Council “Ideas” Committee

Research Interests:

Dynamics of Structures, Precision Production Technologies, “Smart” Tools, MEMS. Author of 300 Scientific Publications, 5 Monographs (3 edited abroad), 45 patents.

Honours & Awards:

Award: Innovator of the Soviet Union (1985)

Laureate of Lithuanian National Award (1997)

Big Kant Medal for the Achievements in Mechanics (2000, Russia) Chevalier order of the Republic France (2005)

Chevalier order of the Kingdom Belgium (2006)

K.Simonavicius Award in Mechanics (2013).
