应我校航空学院沈星教授的邀请,英国布里斯托大学Benjamin Woods高级讲师于2021年10月22日在线上做了题为“Shape Adaptive Blades for Rotorcraft Efficiency”的学术报告。报告系统介绍了欧盟H2020研究项目“Shape Adaptive Blades for Rotorcraft Efficiency”的成果和收获。报告内容丰富、精彩生动,对我校相关科研工作具有借鉴作用。同时,Woods高级讲师还就有关问题与我校师生进行了讨论交流。
报告人简介:
Dr. Benjamin King Sutton Woods is a Senior Lecturer in Aerospace Structures at the University of Bristol. He is an EPSRC Early Career Fellow and served as Coordinator of the H2020 research programme SABRE: Shape Adaptive Blades for Rotorcraft Efficiency. His research is concept driven and spans a range of disciplines including structures, aerodynamics, experimental testing, mechanics, actuation, materials, optimisation and design. He has authored 7 patents, 3 book chapters, 35 journal papers and 60 conference proceedings. He also served as Chief Design Engineer on the FAI world record holding Maryland Human Powered Helicopter team.
